His first approach to racing was in Mini Trial in 1998, where he wins the National championship in 1999, turning afterwards into off-road and Cross.
He doesn’t move into speed until 2005, but demonstrates very soon to be one that has to be taken into consideration. In fact, his outstanding results in single brand National tropheys allow him to be a wild card in the European Stock 600 in 2007.
In 2009 Danilo takes part to the entire championship with the Team Italia livery, taking one of the main roles in the championship and fighting for the first position until the very last race held in Portimao. On the same year, he gains a second place in the Italian Superstock 1000 championship, although wining the Under 23 classification.
2010 sees him in two different fronts on a Team Pedercini Kawasaki: he takes part to the FIM Cup in Superstock 1000 and to the SBK class of the Italian championship, where he ends up in the third place and gains the Under25 italian championship.
Last year he runs the Stock1000 Championship on a Ducati (Team Barni) with the Team Italia livery, whith whom he gained the second place in the World Championship and won the Italian Championship in this class.
