Simone Corsi has had a passion for motorbikes since early childhood. He rode his first minibike at three years old, competed for the first time at four achieving a third place, and never stopped racing since then: he is often on the podium of the Italian championship between 1993 and 2000, and has won for more than 200 times throughout his racing career.
First classified in the Italian minibikes championship in 1997 and 1999, jumped on a Grand Prix bike in October 2001 in Misano, where he ended up in the 10th position of the Italian Championship.
He improves up to the third final position in the 2002 Italian Championship and wins four of the five races of the 125cc Honda Trophy. Corsi’s first World Championship 125cc race was in 2003, while he reached his first podium in 2004. Simone moved to 250cc class in 2005 and accepted Gilera’s offer return to 125cc in 2006.
His first Grand Prix victory took place in 2007 in Istambul.
2008 and 2009 were two great seasons in which he collected four victories, stood on the podium on five occasions and signed the pole position more than once, confirming himself as one of the referees in his class.
The 2010 season took him back to Moto 2, where he reached the podium on two occasions and ended up the season with 138 championship points.
